    1st Gen 4runner Project: My COVID-19 Build

Drool worthy. Looks like your coils up front are 600#? Is that the standard recommended, or did you upsize for the added 5vz weight?

    2004 Tacoma SAS

I love everything about this and wish EP had more builds with fab work rather than just bolting on fancy after market parts (nothing wrong with that, just wish it wasn’t so lop sided). Always been a fan of the 80 series SAS projects. Keeps the truck so low and functional. Keep it up and keep...

Any progress lately? Looking great, and I’m digging the fresh SS brake lines. Nicely done

Saga of Stanley Fab - Builds of sorts!

This is what I'm talking about! Great build. I'd love to see some detail shots of how you attached the canvas to the top and shell. Always trying to sort out the best way to do this and keep rain out. Keep us posted on the travels!

    Back after 6 years.

I love the early 90’s pick ups. Nothing better than the first time you pull out of the driveway after it’s been sitting for a couple years. Pull that body lift and cut a hole in the hood for the 3.4 swap :)

    1983 Toyota 4X4 Chinook Build

Loving this build! I was recently researching aluminum radiators to bolster the cooling system on my Gen1 4Runner. I know you are tight on space, but did you add some rubber spacers at the mount points? Seems like this can be critical in avoiding fatigue cracks and radiator leaks on aluminum...

    El Burro - 1989 4Runner Build

Just wrapped up an 1800 mile trip from San Diego to Utah and back. The 4Runner did great. Looking forward to completing a few more projects to make the next trip even better! Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument A mandatory stop along the way

    1st Gen 4runner Project: My COVID-19 Build

Been gone for a while and come back another great Gen1 thread! As mentioned earlier, yotatech definitely has the best 3.4 swap info. Here's a thread I started a while back to link to some of the most useful threads I found when going through my swap...

Spun through your pirate thread. Very nicely done!

    All Things 3.4 Swap

@aaronglenn, I would look at junk yards for an ECM that matches your donor year and transmission. This will save a lot of time by minimizing the # of wires you have to hunt down in the EWD and re-pin. It's also best for your donor to be of the same transmission type (auto/manual) as the...

    2005 e350 5.4 4x4 swap!! Zf6 manual worth it?

This thread is awesome. Recently picked up a 5.4 E350 and I’ve been dreaming of a manual. There is hope!

    El Burro - 1989 4Runner Build

Boss told me to get lost for a week, so I booked it up to Seattle to ride bikes and work on the a 4Runner. I spent my first afternoon wrapping up a bunch of little items. Welded in rear shock mounts, installed new front brake pads, torsion bars, starter, slave cylinder, rear diff breather, and...

    El Burro - 1989 4Runner Build

@owyheerat - wish I could answer that question, but I still haven’t even backed it out of the garage. Hopefully have a review for you before too long.

    El Burro - 1989 4Runner Build

Thanks, redthies. I would definitely say run it till the 3.0 shows signs of problems or you find you really need the power. I'm living in San Jose and really missing my garage. On the other hand I spend more time on the weekends doing the hobbies I love rather than cursing at bolts...
