Frame and bulk head are known for rusting out if not taken care of. The other thing is to make sure the negative earth wiring has not been bubbafied.

LHD 109 that appeares to be a II or IIA. Two major issues come to mind, frame and bulkhead rot. If those two are bad the vehicle is in need of a complete restoration and is virtually undrivable until completed.

Galvanizing can be applied cold via a rattle can from the local hardwares store. It is no where near hot dipped galvanizing.
