'23 AT Overland Summit (6'4" Ft Bed) Truck Topper HWY 395 CA.

Thank you for responding. I’ll have to pass as 48” is just too narrow for me and my wife to sleep comfortably. GLWS. Jack

'23 AT Overland Summit (6'4" Ft Bed) Truck Topper HWY 395 CA.

How wide is the sleeping platform/mattress? The website shows 48”, but that seems narrow for a full size version. Jack

    2002 Ford F-350SRW Recommendations

Your SD is already has the shackle in the rear. I would replace the K&N filter. Not really a good filter for a turbo diesel. Too many reports of turbo wheels getting chewed up. Good solid trucks. Jack

Guess who's back!?! Atl-atl's K5 Blazer + Four Wheel Camper "The Crawlin Cabin" documentation thread!

The Blazer is looking great! Are you going to weigh it before you put the camper back on it? I would be curious as to how much your stripped down Blazer weighs versus the Camper mounted version. Jack

Project: Blanco, The 2007 F350 Standard Cab Adventure Truck

Nice mod. I ran that filter system on my ‘02 PSD and in over 60k miles, I never had to change the filter. It never moved the filter minder and all I would do is remove the filter; blow it out and re-install it. Jack

Someone explain why GAIA gets so much love

Like you, (OP) I wasn’t getting why people liked Gaia either or any of the topo apps out there. I don’t create routes or particularly know where I’m going when I leave. We usually choose a direction or maybe an area and there are plenty of times that our original plan goes out of the window and...

    New gaiagps map feature?

I’m still messing with it, but so far, I like the look. I’ve found mine names, springs (names), mountain peaks, plus the roads are more clear (to me) regarding which is a bigger road versus say a two track. Thats just looking around my area for places I’m familiar with. HTH. Jack

    New gaiagps map feature?

Will do. I have a trip through Nevada’s backcountry coming up in a few weeks. I’ve got NV, CA, AZ, NM, UT, OR, CO, WA, ID, and Baja downloaded right now. I played around with it a little bit and I like the look so far. I'm sure a we-boost would work to help with offline/limited cell coverage...

    New gaiagps map feature?

Answered my own questions. Got some time this evening to play with it and I’ve been able to download entire states in the overland layer. Just have to go “offline”to see if my downloads/the layer works. Jack

    New gaiagps map feature?

Updating/downloading mine now. For those that added it; can you download larger areas? I would love it if these apps would just allow you to download an entire state at a time. I really hate trying to get “blocks” downloaded only to find out when I’m out of cell coverage that I missed some...
