2007 Ford E350 XLT Extended Motovan/Family Camper Project...

Looks like a great start. Our family has an '04 E150 and love it. I think you will get better responses to this in the camper van section: https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/forums/4wd-and-2wd-camper-vans-a-k-a-vanlife.58/ What many seem to do install Moog cc880 coils and Bilstien...

2000 Suburban K1500 budget low lift with 37"s

Loving working thru your build and trip reports - great that you are getting your family out there to enjoy the great outdoors. I have a question for you on your Chalet trailer - what is your sleeping arrangement for all 5 of you? Starting to look at alternatives to our ground tent sleeping 5...

Family of 5 trying to figure things out.

Like you setup and will start working thru your build thread - i'm got a family of 5 but will probably end up being a family of 6. We are looking at pop-ups as an alternative to ground tents- I'm curious how you sleep your family in a A-Frame popup?

    16" Wheels on '94 E150?

I have an '04 E150 with 16" factory steel wheels, but the van came with factory wheel covers. The bolt pattern is the same as older ford 1/2 ton vans, trucks, etc as has already been stated. One thing I will mention on the tires, is that the stock size for the 04 is a 235/70/16. I upsized to...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Had the opportunity to spend some time around Silverton on the way to Saratoga Springs UT about 3 weeks ago. My dad, brother -in-law and a couple cousins, along with some of their sons joined us and it was so much fun! Beautiful scenery. Rivers, streams and creeks were full! Loved it.

Time for a much needed cleaning - fortunately our kids thought it was fun to vacuum the van (also wiped down all the plastic trim panels, dash, doghouse and console, etc)

    Flexopower 444 lithium

After using it to run my CPAP as a test ( since that is the primary reason I got it) I've managed to run it for 4 nights averaging 6 hrs a night, though the first couple of nights I forgot to put the CPAP into low power mode, which shuts-off the humidifier and heated hose, among other things...

    Flexopower 444 lithium

I can say that it feels solid and substantial- to use the line from Jurassic Park: “Are they heavy? Yeah. Then they're expensive. Put them back” Here is the sticker on the bottom :

    Flexopower 444 lithium

i just got one since it seemed to be a good package that checked the boxes. I’m in need of a battery/inverter combo to power my CPAP. Yes, I’m aware that there lots of models out there that are powered via DC or a DC/DC converter. My unit isn’t one of those though and i don’t have the money...

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

I've wondered about using a used mini fridge w/ an inverter, but wasn't sure if a dorm style mini fridge would work very well. Glad to know it worked for you, as 12V fridge isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

I'm in the same position with a Drawtite front receiver mounted winch, but I've got a E-150 and won't be in position to upgrade the suspension to lift the front and rear for a while. I had hoped to have a front receiver poke out the hole in the bumper, but unfortunately that would hit the AC...

    Manual transmission in a van?

That would be a interesting Combo, and I'd go for it since its a 5-Spd MT. I would not recommend it if the donor van had a 4-Spd MT. We had a '81 E-100 with 4.9L I6 and a 4 spd MT w/ OD, and while it got decent MPG ( my dad reports getting 18-20 MPG highway, before the engine rebuild) - BUT...
