Most 4x4's dont need a snorkel, why would a 2wd need one. A 4x4 is going to do better than a 2wd, just the way it works, I am not saying 2wd is terrible just that it has limits. Bed weight and chains can make even an open diff 2wd eat up some country, but a 4x4 will need niether of those to do...

With the numbers the 2.8 duramax can lay down, this engine is capable of more than advertised. Just needs someone to crack the computer.
