How did you mount the rack on the cab? I was under the impression no one made the attachments for load bars on our cabs? thx

Sorry for the long time to respond, Yakama makes adapters for their racks that mount down on the inside of the door frame. It works fairly well and the only thing that would work better is drilling into the roof. :Wow1:

Hope that helps.

Installed my new winch :)

Although it was a PITA and weighs more than an elephant I hope it serves me well.

Info: Generic Chinese 12,500lb Winch...

Step one - Remove bumper (PITA)

Step two - Remove shiny chrome font grill

Step three - Unpack winch

Step four - realize the clutch is facing the wrong direction for the bumper... Hit your self in the head repeatedly for not thinking about this ahead of time... :mixed-smiley-030: After about 5 minutes start taking the winch completely apart to rotate clutch..

love this build!
how has your chinese winch held up?

So far so good, pulled out a tree in my friend's yard. I had all four wheels locked it was dragging my extremely overweight tacoma across the driveway. :Wow1: Left some nice skid marks... :coffeedrink:

Well we got one of those problems solved yesterday, didnt we? :wings: You shuld have said something about the other item, we carry Odyssey and Optima AGM batteries in stock! Great meeting and talking with you yesterday, and the truck is very nicely setup

Thanks! I am sure the fridge will serve me well. After I repair the hole in my pocket I am sure I will be back again.

Some changes. Well my Dakar leaf springs have been underwhelming with all the weight I have in my truck. I have been using a short AAL to help with the problem but that route has caused its own issues. So I am replacing it with an "official" OME long AAL. The front bushings that come pre-installed on the Dakars have also not held up. I am replacing them with greasable bushings and upgrading my rear bump stops. My overall hope is for an improved ride and better load carrying ability.

Nothing like a happy suspension:

And if anyone wants to know... You CAN fit a 255/85 R16 in the stock spare location! Just need to do a little cutting...

Big Bear

Back from Big Bear :sombrero: Ran Gold Mountain (Again), John Bull and Holcomb Creek. Got to test my winch as well, it was more for fun than actually being fully stuck. Had a large group behind us and did not want to hold them up.
