Yeti Overland’s Tundra OVRLND Camper build

Last year I started off with OVRLND camper number 3, which with family expanding is not quite enough space. The truck and camper was sold/pending sale so the next truck build can start.

Checkout OVRLND Camper's for more base camper information!

New base is a 2008 tundra double cab in pyrite mica. Truck needed tires to get back to Colorado from Tennessee. So I threw on some 275/70/18 general grabber atx’s. Though I did pick up some steelies to swap out after I get the suspension sorted for alignment.

First things to do once I got the truck back to Denver is remove the running boards, clean up the frame to get it ready for undercoating. Then start with basic maintenance - plugs, fluids, front brakes, filters, etc etc etc.

Going to be ordering a bunch or parts during November Black Friday sales. The camper production Is already underway with slight details to work out.

Lift went on pretty easy, glad to get this install out of the way.

The lift is a old man emu 612s and leaf springs / shocks. First test ride around the neighborhood shows to ride good. With the camper it should site nicely.

First stage of electrical upgrades have started. Threw in a group 31 Duracell agm, 105 amp hour. Used some slee battery terminal extenders to get the stock power cables to fit.

have some blue sea fuse blocks on order and various other connectors, etc

Looking forward to your build man!

You graciously showed me your Tacoma at your house when I was in the market for an OVRLND camper (I came down in an MGM DSCB taco with a 6 pack of beer). I ended up selling my 15 Tacoma and got in an 05 Sequoia for sleeping in, which has been a great replacement, however, I got the itch to go winter camping this year. This has slowly lead me to the prospect of a heater in a vehicle, which I am now considering following your footsteps into a Tundra + OVRLND camper.

Looks great so far man! Definitely stoked to see how this evolves!

gonna be at expo again? I’m aiming to have most the build done by then! Also so far, tundra has so much more room.

Starting doing a little more electrical work today while parts come in / time allows. Worked on installing a noco onboard battery charger for when I need to top up after the truck is sitting, and I don’t want to run solar, etc etc etc

also started with my truck electronic side of things. I am using a rago fabrication battery tie down, blue sea fuse block, busmann circuit breaker, and some deutsch connectors.

Been slowly working on my on board air setup. Running a victory 4x4 mount, viair manifold, arb compressor, and 3/8 push to connect fittings.

I also installed some rago fabrication bed stiffeners to tighten up the bed for the new camper.AA0C5D60-41A8-403D-973B-74DC6ADCB05D.jpegEC20D876-38F3-4171-A872-B73F1D4E6B52.jpegD2AE9C02-A00A-49CA-9AB1-0E173F037D0B.jpeg0BA2FCDA-1D3B-47CE-A679-638EB5EB029D.jpegE8FA0B81-03A5-4EE6-8488-65CED870E31F.jpegB2A220ED-E93B-4EB8-8778-E9547511D530.jpeg
