Doesn’t removing those valves effect performance. Just a bit confused on that?

In theory, the butt dyno will never notice though.

They work well for some of the low-end grunt, I could feel it on the turbo 4G63 engine but boost makes things a little more pronounced, your booty will never know the difference, but your pistons will thank you.

No issues on that front (Been driving on it like that for a few thousand miles now), no power difference I can tell, mileage is almost the same.

On a side note (and hopefully unrelated to the above lol) went to start it this morning and am getting P0102 mass or volume airflow circuit low input. Car idles like garbage around 550rpm. Cleaned the mafs out again with maf cleaner, cleared codes, same deal. Is my mafs bad? Read somewhere that fuel pressure regulator could be the culprit...

Well, I packed up and headed to the local U Pull and U pay. They had one 2001 3.5 gen 3 there and luckily it had the MAFS. 29.99 later and I toss it on, PROBLEM SOLVED. Sick. Can 100 percent confirm the 3.5L montero MAF works on the 3.8.

Awesome build so far, what brand of springs did you get again? And shocks?

Good info on the man as well, keep it up

Tailgate handle broke with the door shut. Pain in the ass to open from the inside, but here is how to do it.

2003 montero rear door handle broken / fix!

On that picture with your new gauge cluster, I see a 428 Mile estimated range on the range computer? Whoa! Is that a common value for you? I usually see 320.

On a side note, my Montero's power brakes stopped working today, combined with a super loud and constant beeping to let me know, hey your brakes are not working... Still...

After a leg workout (and being super glad my wife wasn't driving) getting her home I got to googling. Turns out its the electronic brake booster or EBB that is the #1 cause of this issue. After heading down to the local Upull, the one Montero we have there was missing this 1200 dollar part from the stealership. It also turns out that Mitsu doesn't sell just the electric motor. Sick.

Luckily, I found a guy who rebuilds them on ebay for 200 bucks.

The guy - http://www.ebay.com/usr/ab4sal_34?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754
The pump - https://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-PUMP-B...-for-1998-2005-lexus-Gs300-Gs350/163126381922

I also snagged the ABS Power Brake Accumulator since those tend to go when the pump dies. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Mi...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I plan on using this guide to get it all back together. https://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=46516

I shall update once the parts arrive. I would also like to kindly request the Montero stop breaking stuff asap.
