Yamaha WR250F

So the story goes as follows:

I was on another forum, and a guy in town posted something up about "FREE KAYAK...Wave Sport Y....whoever can get here first, it's theirs". I contacted him about it, and was in line, no one responded to him, he got back to me, and I had a free kayak. I tried to sell it at local gear swaps, and on craigslist, but nothing. I only had it for 2 months. One day I got an email asking about it. The interested party, wanted to trade his "The Creek Company ODC1220/XR12" for my kayak. If you don't know about these boats, they are awesome, and I fly fish a lot, but already own a 14' raft with full fly fishing frame in there. I figured, sure, why not, I will drive down to Hartsel, and see what's up. We made the trade, and I obviously got the better deal. So the raft sat under the carport for a few months, while I tried to sell it, and put ads up on Craigslist to trade for a RTT/Wildernest/ Dual Sport etc. Several phone calls, and emails, but nothing, until last week. I got an email from a guy in Westminster who fly fishes a lot, and had a 2001 Yamaha WR250F. He is from GA, and moved here in January. He said he had ridden the bike once, and never again, b/c he didn't know anyone to go out and ride with. I was like, dude, you live in CO, there are trails everywhere. Anyway, I drove out to his place, he saw the boat, I drove the bike, and we made the trade.

Long story short, I started out with a free kayak from like 2004, traded the kayak for a cataraft, then traded the cataraft for a street legal dirt bike. Still blown away by these events. Anywho, so stoked to have a new toy and ready to get out on 2 wheels now!!

Went up to Winter Park this weekend (my old stomping ground), and had to go do Corona Pass on the bike, instead of my usual 4 wheel option. Was absolutely amazing. The truck can take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 hr 30 minutes. The WR250 ate it up, and was up top in 20 minutes. This was the first time I have ever ridden a dirt bike, and self taught at that.
