V3 prototype

XPCampers has released a photo of the V3 prototype:

post-4-0-62538200-1409256739_thumb.jpg

"Here is a first pic of the V3.
Missing are the windows, skylight, solar panels.
We are currently transferring all the data to CAD and will be starting the molding process soon.
The final shape will be a little different.
As usual camper gets all the usual XP goodies. Diesel every thing, dual pane windows, marine wiring etc etc.

A floor plan will follow soon."

I like that they are expanding the product line (V3, Cube, V4, etc.), however I am surprised we haven't see a production version of the V2. I thought they sold a bunch of orders for the V2 at OX13 so surprised the production version hasnt surfaced. I need people to buy lots of them so I can buy a used one in a couple of years

I don't know about V2 sales, but I was recently at the XPCampus (as Marc has started calling it) and in the huge new fiberglass shop there were either 3 or 4 V2 shells in various stages of construction as well as about the same number of V1 shells and a Unimog camper.

Awesome. Would be great to see a production version with the super nice interior. If I could afford/convince the wife... I would buy the V2. It ticks all the boxes for me except maybe the weight on the Taco but it seems like that could be managed with suspension and brake upgrades. Marc even mentioned the possibility to build jacks or some system to base camp it. That would be the best of all in my opinion. Drive into a site, drop the camper, explore with the Taco and move on as needed.

The Cube would be the cat's meow if it had a pass through. Marc and I had that talk so I'm waiting to see the version 2.0 Cube with that added awesomeness :D

Does anyone know if XPCamper be exhibiting at Overland Expo East next month? Any XP owners planning on attending?
