I bought unit #806 new and have had it since last summer. It's currently on my 2014 Ram 2500 short bed. It has front and rear windows and doors on both sides of the tent. It has been great but I've decided to sell the truck and wanted to pass along my GFC to someone that may be years down the waitlist. I've camped in it about 10 nights since I've had it, always by myself so no shenanigans have been had in there. There's some very minor examples of the expected wear and tear but it works flawlessly and is definitely worth buying if you're eager to get one of your own. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and I can deliver it pretty much anywhere in the state or you're welcome to travel to pick it up. I'm not looking to ship it due to the immense size and weight of this thing. I have no idea if it will fit your 1998 f150 so don't ask. It was made specifically for my 2014 Ram 2500 6.5' bed. Should fit 1500, 2500 and 3500 of any cab size as long as it's the same size bed. You're welcome to contact GFC to see if it will fit a different truck.
