Hi Everyone,
My friend and i are looking for a smaller overland trailer. Something that has a inclosed cargo box or cargo compartments and the higher rack for the RTT. We are hoping to keep it under 1500lbs to pull with a forester at times where we aren't to far off the road. Any leads or other tips on trailers under 10k.

Thanks!

Scarstens, just a heads up, the scout is heavy. The dry curb weight on the scout is 1543lbs, so before you put anything in it I think it'll be over the forester's towing capacity.

Tkhawk, Thanks for the info. I have been looking at so many trailers I must have overlooked that. I thought it was coming it around 1100 lbs. Well that changes everything. Might start looking into the FSR trailers then more. I appreciate the heads up!

Hi there,
I'm selling my adventure trailer with adjustable rack and RTT for $7,995. Here's the info....https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/tro/d/tacoma-off-road-adventure-trailer-cvt/6846451449.html
Maybe this will work...just the weight of the trailer is 800lbs according to manufacturer specs, so the entire thing is well under $1,500 including the weight of the CVT tent.

Did you find a trailer?

I still have the one we re-freshed. We originally bought it to tow behind a Forester. Here are some pics, First one is from when we drove up to Bend, OR to pick it up; second one is when I was putting the Trex planks in; third, forth, and fith are with a iKamper Skycamp on it; last 3 is how it sits now (I sold the iKamp about a year ago). The rubber mat is in there to protecte the Trex when I was moving some metal with it.
