No, German G Wagens for sale online via mobile.de and similar are often rusted badly and/or poorly serviced and often not owned by mostly enthusiasts like here in the USA. If you can find one owned by a German enthusiast that is a great car to be had. Generally, the G Wagens here are much nicer than those found in Germany. Not to mention you have shipping costs, flying over to look at it...etc etc. It's risky and not worth it IMO.how about importing one from germany? Vehicles are LHD there...
Or have you tried these guys....

Ah, very nice Adam;I'd say buy mine but it's a 2 door swb. Good luck
What did you drive Larry and where did you drive it?Ever since I test drove a G wagon 4 door diesel a couple days ago, i've been on the hunt for a nice one. Tried the usual sites like ebay, craigslist, and clubgwagen. Anybody know of one for sale? Must be a 4 door diesel....as my daily driver!
Many thanks!
Damn, not on CL anymore. How many miles and what were they asking?I drove the one that was for sale on craigslist up in Vancouver WA. It was a bit too rusty for me. It was a 300GD.
Thanks Chip(?).Here are two from Craigslist today
1983 G-wagen, San Antonio TX $14,500

1986 G-Wagen diesel, Charlottesville VA $15,500

Awesome, thanks! There are several options available to search all of Craigslist. The simplest is to use Google:
For example, in the Google search bar, type "g-wagen site:craigslist.org"
Another site I use to look for vehicles is http://www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi
There is no search specifically for Gelandewagens, so I specify 1980s and
1990s Mercedes products, with "wagen" as the filter. This will find listings that
include either Gelandewagen or G-Wagen in the text. The Jaxed site also searches eBay.
