I hate to beat a dead horse. I know most say they do not want to lift these because it ruins other drivabilities. Ive searched and cannot find any good answers to my question. I read all about doing a spring spacer lift on these with the steel suspension. but a few posts back show a teflon shim on top of the suspension. would it be possible to do that shim sort of lift while retaining air ride? Ive read that much more than 2 in of lift messes up the driveshaft. But couldnt you potentially do the teflon shim lift with retaining airride, make a spacer for the carrier bearing on the driveshaft and be good to run 33in tires with a 5in lift or so? Just speculating about it. seems all the lift info is for steel springs.
edit: I dont own one of these. Ive been looking and have absolutly loved every one ive driven or ridden in. Always thought they were ugly. But might be my next vehicle.
