What's my brothers Fuso Camper Worth?

This isn't mine it's my brother's. He purchased the 2017 chassis cab new. He built the flatbed with a steel deck and it has sockets in the bed and 6 tiedowns for the removable camper box. It has 6 handcrank camper jacks with wheels. So it's not just a camper but a truck!! He has built the whole thing himself with easily accessible parts from amazon, home depot, Lowe's, etc. so it's easy to resource parts. It has less than 3000 miles. My brother isn't into posting things on forums let alone selling vehicles so I told him I would post it. He's trying to figure out what its worth because he may be considering selling it. I really don't know all the details of the build but here are some basics.
* 37" Hancook tires with single wheels including spare
* 3 way Dometic fridge
* 2 200 watt solar
* 46 gal water tank
* Exterior shower
* Propane stove
* Hot water heater
* Lots of interior and exterior storage
* Propane heater
* Lots of lighting on inside and out
* Original wheels and tires like new

Looks very nicely put together, but not being from the US I have no idea of what it's worth in that market.

I am assuming that it is 2 x 200 Watt solar panels, not 2.2KW of solar. :unsure:

You would have to get more details about the build and how the cabin is made. Surely he knows what kind of money he put into it and time. It looks nice. He can get a return on the money invested but if it is a self build a lot of times the labor to build it is lost.

I would put the Value at somewhere around $100-$125 K. Of course there is a very limited market for these so it is sometimes hard to find the right buyer..... If I was insuring it I would probably insure for $150K.

Thanks for the feedback Allan! I'll pass it along to him.

Start with what he paid for it and deduct mileage and use from there. It’s a very niche vehicle so keep that in mind.

Deasocld:

Your brother did a nice job. Depending on his eventual potential buyer, the ease-of-sale might be increased if your brother took the time to get all of the recall & update work done on the Fuso. While still under warranty the work won’t cost him except for time, but if the VIN is within range for the rocker-arm recall & other work, someone knowledgeable about those issues might see that as a plus.

Hi Howard. Thats a good point. I almost included that in the description. He had all the recall work done this winter at a Fuso dealer in the Seattle area for the rocker arms. Should be good to go. Thanks Clint
