What is a 100% custom modification you have on your Land Rover?

I have a matching fuel filler door on the opposite side of my 1991 RRC Hunter for shore power to run the ARB refrigerator and charge the battery via an onboard NOCO GEN2 battery charger. Once inside, all the wiring and plugs hide nicely inside the unused driver side rear seat bracket housing. Absolute overkill, yes, but when it was suggested to me, I had all the parts available and it was just too good of an idea not to do it.

That's a remarkably ingenious idea that I never would have thought about. Simple and clean, too. I may incorporate that into my build design for my 109 resurrection.

Made a console for my RRC about 10 years ago

Ok, need some clarification on the three shifters. I see the manual transmission, the normally located diff-lock shifter, but what's the hi/lo shifter for off to the right side of the console?

Another one I have is custom mounts for an ARB 50 quart freezer that replaced the LH 40% rear seat. Had custom brackets made that bolt in to the stock rubber round pads on the bottom of the ARB and even reused the two seat bolt locations. Super secure solid mounting and it fits perfect in the space.

One other thing is where I installed the winch solenoid and dual winch controller sockets. I bolted the Albright solenoid to the back of the coolant overflow tank panel and installed winch controller sockets where both orange reflectors on the front fenders used to be. The Superwinch controller socket fits perfect there, even the screw holes line up.2022-1007-112112-MY1991RRCHunter-front_corner-insta.jpg2012-0610-061925-MY1991RRCHunter-Albright_winch_solenoid-insta.jpg2012-0610-061935-MY1991RRCHunter-Albright_winch_solenoid-insta.jpg2012-0610-061946-MY1991RRCHunter-Albright_winch_solenoid-insta.jpg

Great idea for a thread.

Here’s one of my custom mods - battery terminals on the seat base for easy trickle charging…

And another - removed the Smith heater box under the dash instruments and built a replica box to house the Carling switches and Alpine Apple Car Play head unit. Put an aircon/heat unit under the hood.

Last one I’ll share is when we built the custom faux heater box above we then wanted vents for the aircon/heat to blow at the driver and passenger so the shop to the original defrost vents and fabricated slightly larger versions out of fiberglass that have an adjustable ball vent to aim the air at you which can also be closed and it still functions as a defroster.
