My thought, rotate your camper 90 degrees counter clockwise in that pic. Basically make a U shape that comes up to about the top of the cab and just inside the bed rails. Then make what amounts to a standard truck cap on top of that and sits on top of the bed rails. Now use some tracks and springs to lift the upper part so its bottom meets the top of the U shaped lower part. On a full size truck that gives you close to 6 feet height.
there we go. the blue part is very similar to a normal truck cap, when lifted the bottom of the blue is will be sitting even with the top of the red.
