Why do I have these?
I installed the same battery in our van before our trip to South America, however, they were installed on the frame rail next to the exhaust. Over 10 months of travel we killed the batteries by not being able to consistently fully recharge, combined with the battery temps reaching 150 degrees + at times. West Marine replaced the batteries without question and without a receipt, based on the fact that they were West Marine batteries and within 18 months of the manufacture date.
These are the warranty replacement.
I've decided to upgrade to lithium and have not installed or used these batteries yet.
