General Warehouse Associate (Cashmere) WA​

NITRO is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team. We are a fast growing company with 2 locations that ships worldwide. Great opportunity for advancement!


Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to navigate through a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment in which information may come from multiple sources and deadlines may change
• Ability to maintain good attendance record
• Self-motivated and able to work within a small team atmosphere as well as unsupervised
• Strong written and oral communication as well as high attention to detail and proficient math skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Professional and positive work ethic

Essential functions, (but not limited to):

• Pick and pack general orders
• Process orders for shipping
• Maintain stock levels in home locations
• Organize bulk inventory locations
• Assist with inventory control
• Receiving inbound product and processing returns
• Cross train in other areas of shipping floor / Kit Room and other projects & duties as assigned

Additional requirements:

• Previous warehouse and related equipment experience preferred but not necessary
• Prolonged standing, bending and twisting
• Ability to climb ladders and/or work at heights up to 15 feet
• Ability to lift, and carry, up to 50+ lbs. regularly, using proper technique

Our company offers competitive pay and benefits. This position is full time, M-F 8:00 am-5:00pm.

I just have to point out something obvious, that you may already be aware of: in your requirements, you, as well as most companies, require an employee to "•Ability to lift, and carry, up to 50+ lbs. regularly, using proper technique". Companies say they require that. In the OSHA laws, they mandate that nothing more than 50lbs be lifted.

I'm not interested in the job (but it does sound cool!), but if an employee gets hurt, even using "proper technique", lifting more than 50lbs, you'll be on the hook with workers' comp.

Not a diatribe here, just an obvious flaw in the unreasonable, unfair and illegal expectations put on today's work force. Just sayin'... :REExeSquatsHL1:
