I'm sure everyone has a special story about how they spent this New Year's Eve but I'm just as sure we are all glad to see 2020 gone. Our celebrations were enjoyed in the splendid isolation of the Rocky Mountains, with moonlit views of mountains and glaciers.

The new day, and new year, brought warm sunny skies just suited for a walk in the winter wonderland of high mountain passes.

The rumble of a cornice breaking off and tumbling down a cliff was felt through to our bones.

Another treat were these lynx tracks. Judging by the other tracks in the area, this elusive cat was on the prowl for hares.

We are slowly working our way up to longer more remote adventures with our Overland Explorer Vehicles Summit cabin; fine-tuning our organizing and identifying a few remaining glitches for OEV's attention. The F350 with 7.3L gas engine has proven up to every challenge, including huge wind gusts and ice sheet roads. As our first truck ever, this combination has been a revelation.
