Hi
So had the move gross tube about 4 cm, I would probably have gone up to 6 cm if I could do it again. And the cab is raised approximately 5 cm and is still very close to everything, but it should go.
I keep the same ratio in the Volvo axles. think first gear is very low compared to Volvos first gear. gonna find information on the flywheel..

200-250 hk is like perfect, what is your overall weight, 4,5 t ?

I haven't built a body for it yet so I don't have an exact weight but I'd like to think I can keep it down around 3000kg to 3500kg hopefully but we'll see. I also won't be using the original box but building something lighter and lower but with a pop top....this part is still very much in the planning stages while I get the driveline done.

Hello TomCamper, I've been looking at the sprinter SMF conversion clutch kits and it seems most kits don't come with a release bearing. Would I need a kit that uses a "concentric slave cylinder" (CSC)? like pictured below. Or does the e270 gearbox use a normal slave cylinder mounted to the outside of the gearbox and some other release bearing? Cheers warren

Thanks for the pics, it's all clear now.
The exedy kit I posted is the right kit and it includes the CSC bearing/slave cyl.
I'm still on the fence about whether to use the 722.6 auto I have or get a gearbox for it. Originally I had thought going manual meant using a DMF or getting my own SMF custom made, thanks for showing me there's an off the shelf cheaper solution for the flywheel.
Cheers Warren.

trying to keep the dashboard in the same style as before. bought VDO 60mm gauge from the United States, in the same black style. I would like 85mm rpm meter in the old hole where spedometer was.. And trying to get two 10-inch fans to sit behind the radiator. the two cables from the gear shift, coming very close. but should be ok.
