Finally got around to mounting my roof rack. Came out good. Next is to make mounts for my fuel cans, get shovel and axe mounts and finally some led bars for the left, right and rear

It's nice to be able to use the over head crane in the hangar. Made life a lot easier.

Got my alternative to a high lift jack today from a company called safe jack. It's a 6ton jack and it fits in the factory location. Comes with the extensions so you arent over extending and the flat plate and frame /tubing adapter too

Thanks man. I was looking for a rack but couldnt justify spending so much on a big name so I just did some looking on the Internet and I came upon this. Pretty good and solid rack for the price, so far I'm very happy with it. I may add some plywood to it to make it easier to load and tie stuff down on it since it doesn't have a mesh floor.

You could tack some expanded steel mesh to it if you have access to a welder. That'd give you plenty of mounting options and shouldn't be too expensive. Thanks for posting this, I'm in the same boat with an 07' DC short bed and this is a great "less expensive" solution. No way I'd pay more than $500 for a rack.

ya seriously didnt want to drop that much on a rack that wont be loaded 24/7 but still good enough that it will be able to handle what i need it too when i use it.

A link for those interested

A very nice looking piece of kit.... why did you chose it? any reviews?
i saw it on a different thread or forum, someone was had it too and it looked like a better option for me. i didnt want to run a huge high lift jack when i wouldnt use it that much. this way i can still jack my truck up safely on or off road. plus it fits perfectly in that spot for the factory bottle jack. and after watching that youtube video i was sold on this product. i think it will work good for me.

That looks pretty cool, beats my hillbilly stack of blocks I use for my bottle jack. I prefer to use my bottle jack over my hi-lift when possible.
Cam-shaft.
