Finished the towers on the TX V10, many revisions! Happy with the results.

Are you still going to run all of the steering box bolts? Or will one bolt hold it good 'nuff :sombrero::smiley_drive::ylsmoke:

where do you source the front axles and T cases?

That many wrecked 4wd super dutys out there?

I have a few sourced :) These cases are rebuilt units from a big company so I don't have to provide cores.

Well I don't care! Make up some for us poor non Dynacrack guys. Sheesh, do I have to come up with all the ideas....

;)

Ha, nothing like MORE work for these conversions!

Ya, I need a set. I'm getting old , tired of dragging my nuts around.

You live in LA, that can be fixed.

Chris -

I'm only getting about 40k miles out of 5-801X u-joints I'm using on rear of my 2005 SMB (4wd with 35" tires). Angles (pinion - transfer case) seem right on. Curious your thoughts if that is reasonable life out of them and what you use or is there another alternative model u-joint I should use? The 5-801X is non-serviceable.

BTW, how is the Nissan NV project coming along?

Thanks
Phil

Thats a fairly short lifespan. If all the angles are correct and there are no vibes you may be able to add a CV to the rear shaft to spread the load a bit. Wouldn't hurt.

NV is stalled right now, just too damn busy. I had one sold out from under me locally, that kinda sucked but oh well!

Busy busy Monday. AlphaVan is back from paint! He did an amazing job, its not easy to paint these big *** vans. The high top will be off to him early next week so we can get that bolted up. Still waiting for the engine & transmission.

This ride doesn't really fit in here in NC! Long time customer that used to be in AZ finally brought his buggy here and has gotten it street legal for some hoontastic fun. Dyno'd at over 900hp! Supercharged built LS motor. SO FUN.
