“Connectivity allows fleet customers to monitor driver behavior and fleet maintenance needs,” Hinrichs said.
Ford will extend production of its aging E-Series cutaway and stripped chassis into the 2020s. It also plans to add safety features, including automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning to future E-Series, F-650, F-750 and F59 chassis vehicles.
I’m glad to hear this :D

My rig is a ‘97 and I’m hoping it’ll last forever ;) However, should it ever be unrepairable, it’s great to know the ‘box’ could be transferred over to another cab and chassis. Obsolescence for Type 3 / Box / RV builds should be a long while off.

That’s good to hear. I wouldn’t mind a stripped chassis E Series. Just the cab and a V10. Maybe in a couple years I’ll buy a low mileage one or a new one.

Yo, Chris,

I seen on some of your vans, you add a Ford OEM brake controller? Is that possible on my old 2000 7.3 van? Or do I need to go aftermarket? The OEM would look so much better.
