Got started on sound proofing the cab and got some genuine gm parts: lock cylinders, window regulator with motor, and outside door handles(not shown).

On Saturday I got the side patched. It might have been a little over kill using 2" spacing on my rivets and a ton of sikaflex, but I don't think there going to fall off:)

My brother found me some used aluminum wheels with lug nuts, caps and ok tires for $320. They could use some polishing but there in great shape.

Hi,

Did you installed the same size wheels or bigger??

Why I am asking . . . ?

I checked out a few days ago a Type I unit.
I have noticed that the back axle is very low, like 6-7" from the floor.
Although I have no intention doing heavy off-roading, I want to be able to get off the main road
without sitting on the axle while crossing a rain puddle.

The dealer made some inquiry and he told me that it is not recommended to install bigger wheels.

Thanks,

Yishay
