Note: This is a duplicate of a post in "Vehicles for sale by ExPo members" I'm creating this duplicate since these are motorcycles and should have been posted here in the first place. My mistake.

Two (2) Honda CRF150F motorcycles

Street legal – licensed and titled

Two low-hour Honda CRF150F motorcycles fully prepped for dual sport use.

These bikes were prepped by Baja 1000 solo ironman champion Jimmy Sones for use with our overland expedition vehicle. These bikes accompanied us around the western U.S.A. and South America. They have been in storage since early 2009.

They are the perfect size for run-around and exploration motorcycles. They are both street legal, so can be ridden on and off road.

Both were purchased new at the same time. One is a 2006 and the other is a 2007. They are mechanically identical.

These bikes are both electric start, low and light, so they are excellent for use as a couple.

These bikes are easy to load and unload, easy to pick up and very easy to ride.

Plus, they only weigh 223 lb / 101 kg (dry) so you can put both of these bikes onto your truck for the weight of one big motorcycle.

Features:
  • Electric start
  • Pro taper aluminum handlebars
  • Baja Designs lighting & horn kit
  • Billet aluminum cargo rack
  • Wide footpegs
  • Handlebar brush guards
  • Pre-wired for included trickle charger
  • RAM Garmin 60CSx mount pre-wired for GPS power
  • Folding mirror
  • Fender kit including spare tube, wrenches and tire irons
  • Front number plate pack
  • New batteries
  • Fresh oil change

Price:
Both bikes: $3,300
Purchased separately:
  • 2007: $1,800
  • 2006: $1,700

Known issues / problems:
  • The 2006 has a small tear in the headlight mount plastic

I want these!!! But am living out of the country until late November. If I can sway my wife once we buy her a daily driver when we get back, I'll definitely get in touch with you. That being said, I'd anticipate these things selling before too long. What fun, solid little bikes and for a deal.

Make a trip back up to Adel to deliver them and I will take them both!!! PM me if interested - I'd love to have them!

- The guy on the GS that chatted with you at the Dairy Stripe during the sweet corn festival

Bullsnake,

Let this be a lesson to you, young man: "You can run, but you cannot hide."

I'll PM you.

Just a quick follow up on this, and then I will let it disappear into the depths of old posts, but I wanted to take just a minute to let everyone know how this deal went down.

I paid full fat for the twins as they are rare birds in my neck of the woods, and I had always thought that the CRF would make a fun little platform for putting around, the back of a truck, etc. As could be imagined Doug was right on top of everything, and communication was better than I have ever experienced in the past. He talked the bikes down a bit, but all in all said they were good bikes and a nice build up.

What ended up arriving at my shop, earlier than expected, were two bike BETTER than described, and lit up on the first flick of the starter button. Parts, paperwork, keys, titles, etc. all arrived via Fed Ex the same day as the bikes, and the level of organization, attention to detail, and care of documentation bordered on OCD - you can DEFINITELY tell that they are used to world travel by the organization of paperwork, etc. I have done $100,000.00 deals that didn't go down as well as this deal did, and the follow up from the Hackneys was FANTASTIC!!!

Short story long, and as would be expected, I would definitely do business with them again - Thanks again, and the next time you make it "home" be sure to look us up!

Congrats - I wanted those bikes but couldn't convince my wife it was the way to go. So (for now) on a single slightly larger bike that will still fit in the Fuso garage that those bikes did.

I can't tell you how many hours I've spent on the phone with Doug and how generous he always is with his time.
