Turn-Key Overland Built Tacoma and AT Summit $56K -- SOLD

There was a little confusion regarding price as I've edited the post a few times. Appreciate the patience in case that wasn't totally clear.

When the ad was posted I started at $64,000

Today I have dropped the price a bit to $56,000

I am open to reasonable offers and not interested in any trades. Thanks again and I hope this helps!

I’ve had a few conversations with interested buyers regarding price and how we’ve come to the asking price we have. Most of this is already spelled out in the original post but wanted to take a minute to clarify in case this helps others that may be considering this vehicle.

Recap on the numbers:
  • 43K in replacement value if someone wanted to do exactly what has been done to this Tacoma, to their Tacoma (any Tacoma, any age, mileage, condition, etc) hiring a professional overland shop.

We see those types of customers on the regular with our other business Juniper Overland and never ceases to amaze me how quickly all of it can add up. But it happens every day (just take a look at the Juniper Instagram page), especially when someone gets into a nice living quarters set up like the AT-Summit in addition to the accessories on the truck.

The equipment is in like new condition since its one of our showroom trucks, but admittedly has definitely taken some depreciation just bc that is how that stuff works.

  • 28K for the truck based on age, condition, options, this part of country, etc on KBB.

  • So if we were asking for those amounts straight up we be at 28K+43K= 71K.

  • We were asking 59K and were expecting that 54-56k would be where we would eventually land after negotiations with a buyer. That allows for 15-17k in depreciation for those parts.

  • We feel that range is fair for such a well-appointed rig in its condition and with its history, represents the happenings in the used marketplace, and is based upon our experience working with products and customers like this on a daily basis. I am also open to negotiations for those that have seen the truck in person and don’t feel that our asking price fair.

I bring this up to hopefully save some time for others. I’ve had conversations with folks that on one hand felt our asking price was fair but then on the other hand they go down another road (rabbit hole so to speak) bc of their own issues with the amount of money – sometimes having to do with just the amount overall and sometimes what they would have used that money for instead on their own vehicle(s). It’s turned into a conversation (more than three times) that is immaterial to my asking price but has been my experience nonetheless.

So I hope this helps clarify where I’m coming from, what’s going thru my head when I’m talking to potential buyers, and in general hoping that this helps to save everyone time. I understand it’s a lot of money but also can’t really help with that all that much when we are asking a fair price. If someone saw the truck and felt for specific reasons they couldn’t pay what we were asking then I would totally entertain that conversation but without even seeing the vehicle its hard for me to understand where some folks are coming from. Again, I hope this helps and I hope everyone absolutely crushes their weekend. Cheers

I didn't see anything about the gear ratio. Is it stock gears?

Good question and I will go back and add that to my post. Yes, kept it stock gears with the current sized tires. If we had opted to go with larger tires we would have gone for the re-gear but decided to keep it factory, and drives nicely with the current wheel/tire combo. Thanks for asking!

Do you know/have you tried to fit in standard 7" garage?

It’s like 83.25” off the ground on current tires so technically that is almost 1” under 7’. But how your garage door clears the rough opening and exactly what those dimensions are I cannot say for sure unfortunately. My detailer has a 7’ garage and we pulled it inside but had to pull the cord on the power door opener to push the door up another inch or so.

If you were local I’d entertain you’re trying to fit in your garage if you’re legitimately interested in buying the truck.

For long term storage I’ve seen people let air out of their tires to fit in a garage but wouldn’t want to fuss with that everyday.

Hope this helps!

Great work Chris! You've checked all my wish list boxes, except for maybe sliders. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering what it weighs though; ever parked it on a scale?

thanks!

have not parked it on a scale. She’s still pretty nimble since the AT summit is so light. Bumpers certainly add up tho.

I’d really like to put a set of CBI sliders on to go w the rear bumper but once I decided to sell I figured I’d let the next person pick what they want rather than what I wanted.

I'm very interested but life is kinda crazy for me until after Spring Break with kiddos. My biggest hurdle is making sure this would fit in my garage at our house in AZ. I'll be down there next week. If it can fit, this will work for me. Maybe we can jump on a call at some point if it is not sold. My email is rod@patagoniabend.com

let us know if you have any questions. Best number to call is our main shop line 303-431-6611 and several folks there can help regarding this truck.

83 1/8” tall on drivers side using a straight edge sitting on top of rack rails. Passenger was closer to 83 1/4” but think it could just be the uneven ground the truck was sitting on.

18’ 11” long
