Travel Trailer with 2013 Lexus GX

Hey!

On the prowl for a new vehicle and was wondering what the 2010-13 Lexus GX is like for towing travel trailers?

Originally had heart set on 2004-07 Lexus LX but having difficulty finding.

Other option in my price range but more at the top would be 200 series Land Cruiser.

I tow a 18 foot Jayco Baja with flipped axle behind my 06 Gx470. My 470 has a OME lift also. I carry 12 foot kayaks on top, generator etc. My trailer is 3500 pounds dry. I have plenty of power and use a distribution hitch with sway control. I am very happy with my setup.

I tow this Palomino SolAire 205SS with my 2008 4Runner V8 and it does well for what it is. It’s happiest at 55 mph but 65-70 is doable on the freeway. I would think the 6 speed and updated 4.6 in the GX460 would make the experience even better. This trailer weighs about 4200 lbs dry and is 24 feet long and I use a WDH.

It can do it without much issue but a true full-size or half-ton would do it a lot better. I personally have no desire to tow more than 3000-3500 lbs with mine going forward.
