Hi Kurt, I like it I've also been looking to make an adaptor / stand for the forthcoming swap of my transfer box
It would make it much easier to have a well ballanced load on the jack.

I think you would sell a few on ebay maybe help put funds in your trip budget, get them welded professionally though.. ;-)

well done

Thanks for your complements!

@Gren
I took the messurement out of the manual. Hope it will be ballanced on top of the jack. :coffee:

Selling on ebay: it's just unique, don't want to create more. Sorry about this.

But I put some colour on it! :sombrero:

Weight is now 1883g.

hey Kurt the colour makes a hell of a difference, I like how you have used grooved pins & circlips, rather than nuts and bolts

nice job.

Forgot to mention there are 3 pins usefull to help finding the center.

LR tools use a slot to get them tight.
I solded zylindric heads on top.

Interesting adaptation.
FWIW I've found the locating pins don't need to be tight. I just cut the heads off some long bolts, taper them a bit and screw them in finger tight. Once a few bolts are installed they easily screw out by hand.

Well, the cylindric head with the hexagonal inside is just what I like.
It doesn't hurt anything and you are able to tight or unscrew that bolt seriously.

Just liked to show the detail. :26_16_2:

Just in front of the main gearbox suspension is an hole located on both sides of the frame.
I use it to locate there a subframe for the needed suspension when the transmission has to be removed.

Just fasten two of these studs ...

and the bracket is located.

First experiences:

It does what it's designed for! :wings:

The additional bridge supporting the main gear box is out of the way and allows to roll the car forwards and backwards if usefull.
I have to do it, because the pit is a very short one (about 9ft).

The adaptor will find it's direction when the gear jack finds the joint. Just tighten the two bolts now, that's it.

Remove the transfer box, lower it and move it out.
