That's because your smart and I am not. I bet that's why your name seemed familiar to me as I did the 24 hours of Moab back in the day. I am sure we raced each other. I have so many fond memories of that race. I remember one year the dust was so bad. Our first daughter was just an infant and it got so cold one night our frien had her in her sleeping bag keep her warm with body heat. She is 26 now.

Don't you wish we had or trailers back then?

Damn it's 20 degrees here in Flagstaff. Propex is purring like a cat.
I stopped because I wasn't willing to train due to the increased traffic on the roads. Know way too many people whose lives were destroyed or gone because of cars. Most of us can't get good enough just training on trails.

24 Hours of Moab...Brutal for me as I was a good climber and a very less than average downhiller. I did enjoy Tinker Juarez riding by me giving me encouragement though.

Your Propex heater...I had one a while back and it was very noisy. Yours? The Truma Combi in the Arkto is near whisper quiet.

I would not call it whisper quite. I do have the Truma Go Aqua water heater. There was a reason I didn't go with the combi but I can't remember what it was. Maybe it draws more power?

"Ran into the Devil, babe. He loaned me twenty bills I spent the night in Utah
In a cave up in the hills"

Made it home in one piece. Got in six 16 miles loops in my race. Eneded up in 5th place. Kind of lame.

My goal was to get out at least once a month through the winters. I miss January but not February.

Left snow country at 10 degrees made it to the desert and it was in the high 60's all in the same state. Crazy

Seems magical out here maybe it's a Feb 29th thing. Or maybe psilocybin Just kidding

Pictures will follow

Made it home in the worst snow storm I have ever drove a trailer in. The Lexus GX 460 saved my life. Power driving

Another desert trip to Beaver Dam NCA and Lytle Ranch with 2/3 rds of the clan. Bit cold and windy but still fun

Any spot with dog swimming is a winner. Is that area the usual 14 day BLM boondocking availability? It looks like it might be a lightly visited area.

The dog swimming was at Gunlock Reservoir. I believe the Beaver Dam NCA has typical 14 day limit and they have camp spots marked In the Beaver Dam National conservation area. Lydel Ranch only has tent camping these days.
