Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I've decided to stop cluttering my build threads with all the random friends things I'm also working on. So I'll post up my non build thread stuff here for my entertainment.

Today i upped PA_JERO's cooling game, i put a temp sensor in his crossover pipe and trans pan. Now he can monitor his temps to the degree in his '94. The coolant temp was an easy drill and tap, i shaved down the boss for the engine cover he hasn't had in years then did the rest on a drill press for perfect alignment.

For the trans temp sensor i drilled a hole, sanded the surface surrounding the hole, pressed in a brass boss and brazed it in. His legitness is of even greater magnitude now.

This will be fun to subscribe to. New daily adventures in to the wilderness of Toastys garage.

Also, I want those readings as well haha. Once I get the truck squared away I'll see if you want to do a couple things I have in mind

Are you using Mitsu senders? What gauges are going in the truck? And where will they be located?

My '02 only has warning lights. All my prior Montero's have had a set of gauges. I would like to add a center gauge pod on top of the dash.

True dat! In the Sierras this year PAJ really liked the Scangauge you gave me, Shovel. I'm not sure what brand gauge he got but any universal gauge will do the trick.

Today PAJ_ERO and I loaded up the GM full width D44 i had and took it up north to trade lordtrunks for his Wagoneer dana 44 out from under his '89 Montero. So now I've got the axle i need for my '99 SAS and he has a full width axle for being extra hard core.

When i say D44 i mean real Spicer Dana 44's none of that Chrysler Jeep era thin tube unit bearing stuff. I'll post up the build on this axle in my '99 build thread.

We'll train him, I hear he tackles things WOT. I'm more worried about the monocoque frame or whatever holding up, the sliders are definitely stronger than that.

...but PA_JERO dropped off his D44! 20180921_124530.jpg
So now we have DD44, two D's for double doses! Two trusses! Two 4.88 R&Ps! But only one axle stand *damn*.

Some of my little friends (PA_JERO & David) showed up and the parts pile grew today! We now have 2 sets of ball joints and master overhaul kits! 20180922_141725.jpg

Adventure Driven Design got us a smoking deal on a pair of air lockers and diff covers too! These diff covers look pretty schmick, Thanks IncX!
The black one is mine ?
