Did you do all the fab work? Suspension, steering, engine, etc?

Early last fall I got the guys at Axis Industries and scoped out them doing the Cummins conversion instead of me, when they were finished I was going to Currie D 60s linked. Well more discussion and we scoped out a full coil over along with a host of other items like Howe steering and filtration this truck is entire in the BAJA 4000, so then I turned them loose I sourced a lot of the parts like a new nsg370 trans housings thirds etc
Chris and Kevan have it going on and have tested their stuff at KOH

Btw at 75 mph hand off wheel and it is like on rails. I really like the hydro assist steering

Can you post up some closer up pics of the front steering set up?

At each knuckle.

Do you know diameter cylinder you went with?

Did you end up with 35" tires? One of your early posts talked about getting rid of the 37s.

I stayed with 37”.
IMO 35” would have not have required near extra beef and cost and I would have not gone coil over suspension which drove other compounding issues and cost to sort out. Probably would have skipped hydro assist as well

However with coil overs 37” tires are perfect. Also one needs to remember that hydro assist you loose auto return to center so you steerinand out of a turn. It is very light but purcise

Pictures on the other item tomorrow

So, you're a cpl yrs in on this thing and many miles no doubt... What are your thoughts on the build and the engine? How's the power? Fuel mileage?

Thx,
Andy
