Timbren bump stops

I am going to added a set of Timbren active off-road bump stops to the rear of my 2011 Tacoma. I have noticed some are mounting the bump stops inverted so the opening on the bump stop faces down limiting the amount of dirt that will collect. I if decide to mount the bump stops inverted are most people using the kit which mounts the existing u-bolts or using the u-bolt flip kit? Also trying to decide if keeping the opening in the middle of the Timbren bump stop will really be that difficult or not when washing the truck after trips and how quickly it will fill with dirt.

I’m running these on my JK. You’re going to love them. But sorry I can’t help with the inverted question.
