California has all of the money left over from the high speed rail from LA to Sac.. They could buy some Washing machines to wash the runoff.
WAIT!!! The problem is Washington, this is easily solved! They need to change their name and stop washing-a-ton. At least add extra soap up stream to clean it up. Who needs the government! We have all of these smart people on this forum and in a couple of days we have a solution.
Then again this can be fixed with another chemical to naturalize the 6PPD-quinone Then we can develop another chemical to clean up the prior chemical. And then the problem starts!
Shame on me for having fun with this situation when others are worried they will not have enough salmon egg's bait to fish with.
First that train was supposed to be LA to SF with a second run to SAC
Then it was nowhere to nowhere
Then due to earthquakes and subsidence in the Central Valley the speed was reduced to only slightly faster than a regular train.
The best part is in order for the train to be self sufficient everyone in CA would have to ride it three times a year, not going to happen
The bond money is tied to progress on the train before they can sell bonds. The government even went to court to try and circumvent the limitations but lost. The only reason they are finishing the section that is currently under construction is because if they stop work trump wants the federal money back.
I have several friends that are going to retire from the train project
Politicians can dream but reality is completely different
