Thinking on 97-99 K2500 'Burban. Feedback?

I am curious as well, since LS motors have no head warping problems unless they have had EXTREME heat. AND, GM guys regard the 2006 6.0L as the 6.0L to have.

I have had no bad experience with the GM alum heads, but I come from many years of Rovers (alum block as well) and am an engineer. All that said, alum and steel are dissimilar metals, and as such expand/contract at different ratios. So, for me, and I travel remotely quite often, I will sacrifice 30 hp for the extra insurance the old heads give. Bombproof as they say. Just one of those tidbits I found years ago, and practice what I preach as I had a '00 2500 for that very reason, everything else being equal. Just my 2c...
