bodywork... yay

next Sunday will be a full fiesta of bodywork teaching to my helpers.

my workers were busy little bees today
first was an instruction course on the various ways to resolve dents (heat, hammer, cover with trim)

then they were set to sanding

they did a nice job....

pull apart again.... getting ready for a paintfest

brown Santa was good to me today

these things finally came down enough in price for me to consider it

it comes with a bunch of cartridges

first to try

starting here

okay, not terrible - maybe 3 minutes

with the black paint stripper... maybe 7 minutes

then 80 grit DA

certainly faster then just 80 grit ... the other two cartridges would work well for graining metal
oh and the other boxes were 2 Optima yellow tops for the Blazer

then spent another 8 hours sanding gaps and channels... woohoo.

Pretty sure there will be less pictures on this.... honestly, how many ways can you take pictures of sanding?

problem is she didn't love me long time - her fan overheated....

right concept, poor execution.... ah well, will get another blower and try again

time to make a huge mess.... but at least not worry about the cross bar rusting out from the inside again
had to modify the hose to fit a epoxy nozzle..... it worked, ish

the kid has been spending his time on this - taping and cleaning... hopefully I can etch prime this week.
