Not Mechanically Inclined
Hey Guys,
Been addicted to overlanding from the first day that I drove into Moab with a almost brand new JKU, after moving to Utah from the big apple. I figured it would be the best car to have and the wifey loved Jeeps so i got a white 2015 JKU. Almost two years later, I have been to every national park in 6 hour vicinity of SLC and countless trips in the Wasatch. We went from having no outdoor time to spending nearly the past two summers in the outdoors.
I wanted to keep the jeep bone stock until parts needed to be replaced and then only would I upgrade certain things. I never understood how people would buy brand new Jeeps and start stripping them. Well 72,000 miles later, (yep in two years) the time is slowly coming. I have no idea how but even after countless trips, to Moab, Arches, Grand Canyon, etc I haven't had to replace anything. Same brakes, and tires which is crazy. But the time has come to change the suspension because it is most definitely shot.
Anyways, I will keep this posted as the car goes on. Ive covered the Jeep in vinyl to protect it from the rock chips and debris, because I hardly ever wash it, and it looks pretty cool. Also after reading on these forums, i decided to go with the Rhino Rack, and a Thule XL box for those really long trips with friends!
Day trip to Bonneville Salt Flats
Some Overlanding in Great Basin National Park
Traveling from Kodachrome Basin State Park to Lake Powell
In the Wasatch next to Sundance

At the Jeep Guy's Shop doing a 2.5 Terraflex Lift!
