The Camo Jeep Expedition Build

Hey Guys,
Been addicted to overlanding from the first day that I drove into Moab with a almost brand new JKU, after moving to Utah from the big apple. I figured it would be the best car to have and the wifey loved Jeeps so i got a white 2015 JKU. Almost two years later, I have been to every national park in 6 hour vicinity of SLC and countless trips in the Wasatch. We went from having no outdoor time to spending nearly the past two summers in the outdoors.

I wanted to keep the jeep bone stock until parts needed to be replaced and then only would I upgrade certain things. I never understood how people would buy brand new Jeeps and start stripping them. Well 72,000 miles later, (yep in two years) the time is slowly coming. I have no idea how but even after countless trips, to Moab, Arches, Grand Canyon, etc I haven't had to replace anything. Same brakes, and tires which is crazy. But the time has come to change the suspension because it is most definitely shot.

Anyways, I will keep this posted as the car goes on. Ive covered the Jeep in vinyl to protect it from the rock chips and debris, because I hardly ever wash it, and it looks pretty cool. Also after reading on these forums, i decided to go with the Rhino Rack, and a Thule XL box for those really long trips with friends!

Are you replacing your tires soon? That's crazy mileage on those tires!

Yea they are on their way out! I am set in KO2s but I don't know what size I should go with, I would love 35s but I don't want to regear my diff, as I have a stock 321, and regearing would set me back around 1500, any feedback would be appreciated

I have the KO2s in 34x10.5R17 (kind of a unique size) - tall but skinny.

I absolutely love them, though I do have a Rubicon 6 speed (so 4.10s). I don't know how they would go on the 321, though I am sure someone is running them.

Hey Dan, do you know if that size would fit on the stock jku rims? metric equivalent would be 265/80r17 I'm assuming?

The backspacing on my Mopar Winter Wheels is almost identical to the stock Rubicon rims, and I run them without spacers.

I do have the AEV 2.5", but I don't think they would be a problem height wise.

I'd be willing to bet your can run them on stock rims, and I bet you can find someone that has done it on some jeep or jk forum somewhere.

Officially, they are skinnier than 265, see here https://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/upload/bfgoodrich/specifications/specs-all-terrain-t-a-ko2.pdf

EDIT: I'm waiting for photos to upload in the background....

Last post here says stock wheels, no spacers, no problem
