Fox Shocks installed on all four corners. Went with the 2.0 w/ reservoirs, 10" travel front, 12" travel rear. The ride is soooo much better!

The 5100's had close to 80k on'm, right front and left rear were toast. Left rear had 4" of completely free travel before building pressure - never saw that before. They should have been replaced in late '14, but they weren't...

I only got 5000km out of a set of Ranchos so consider yourself ahead of the game....:Wow1:

Wow - you had apparently little to no damping left in your suspension. Must feel a lot more controlled now.

Yeah, it's been mushy/harsh for a long time. Made me slow down and enjoy the scenery...

Glad to hear that Lance! Us heavy loaded full size guys have vastly different needs in shocks compared to most other vehicles - lots of weight to control.

Crawler I have also gone over to a dual Fox shock set up on my Yukon. But the Bilstein set up on the old 79 is still holding up well even with the rigorous beating the big canopy puts on them...:Wow1:

The Dumbar, AKA, Smartbar that controls the sway bar disconnect and lockers failed. No lockers, but it would disconnect as needed. Two weeks minimum to get one in at the dealership...

While the truck is there it's also getting new plugs at 90,000 miles, the fifth set of ball joints replaced, and a blown tweeter fixed.

Got a '16 long bed standard cab 2x4 2500 Tradesman as a rental. I forgot how rough a regular 3/4T rides. And with cranks on the windows and manual locks, it's a real throwback to the older trucks I've owned. Sucks...

Replaced the well worn Bilstien steering stabilizer today. Since the Fox shocks are doing so well, decided to use their stabilizer too. It was an easy install, even including removing the stabilizer skid plate.

Two updates...

The Cooper STT Pros exceed my expectations. They do great in mud and snow, handle the trailer towing chores just fine, and are fairly quiet on the daily driving duties.

The lockers failed to engage this weekend in deep snow/mud. After reapplying dielectric grease to the connectors, they still don't work. I did a diff service in Dec, and they worked after that, so it's time to get it into the dealer.

I o believe we need pics of that adventure...:Wow1:

Didn't take too many photos of that trip - just a couple scenery and one when we started dragging diffs about half way up FR 354 to Pine Flat on the Great Western Trail We were still in the cedars, and stopped just about the time we reached the pines. Turned around in knee deep snow at a spot I knew we could before it got to where winching would have been needed. On the way back, the snow had melted, turning the mesa top clay into a typical quagmire...

Still trying to get the lockers working...

They are replacing the wiring harness starting tomorrow. Got a long bed quad cab '16 4X4 CTD as a loner. Gotta be as long as the Ark...

Power, power, power tho. Gobs of power. The PW is much quicker off the line - 4.56 gears do that. But once the turbo spools up, it's see ya later!

$5547.26 in parts and labor, and it works again.

The lifetime B to B deductible was $100.00.

WOW. Glad it's working and that it didn't come out of pocket. How long until the warranty expires??

2099 or if a repair exceeds the value of the truck. At that point they offer market value of the vehicle as a trade in.
