Bad idea unless: you plan to spend all your time in the American west or the Russian steppe, don't plan to drive through a small town ever, don't plan to explore remote areas that have wooden bridges.

Empty it is 20K #, with a 44K # gross.
Why do you need a 24K # capacity ??

Not if, but when you get stuck you will need more than AAA to get unstuck.

Does not sound international overlander friendly,
The use of the vehicle may be restricted by regulations of a local country.

There is a dude in Poland building on a Phoenix 6x6 chassis with the MX11 engine. I think he is doing 4 wheel steering. I can point you in his direction if you like.
Edit: Hi is on fb/insta, not on any forum.

I don’t know about “top speed” of 75mph, but cruising speed of 55-60 mph (~100kph) is enough even in North America. Like 80-85% of governed full load rpm. And remember most of the big tires aren’t good beyond that.

For me it a cool idea but I like big trucks so might be biased.

Both options, 8x8 and 6x6, are represented on a German expedition/overland forum:
8x8: https://www.allrad-lkw-gemeinschaft.de/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=90899
6x6: https://www.allrad-lkw-gemeinschaft.de/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=89941 (long but quite an interesting discussion)
