Why can't we have nice things in the USA?

This is a REAL truck with a Cummins to boot. I want SO bad!

That thing is pretty cool, eh?

As they were saying earlier...have enough cash you can build just about anything.

Though a Titan XD is pretty dang close to that. Albeit they are a little bigger...did look at one in person they don't seem all that big to me.

I never thought I’d see the day where people wanted a truck with IRS.

Why not? The fronts of most trucks are...so what not do the rear too? That is what I find odd. What is even odder is some deem "it is only a real truck if it has leaf springs". ****** is that all about anyways???

It can be done to a Tacoma, and Toyota has experimented with it...Hell brotha... they raced Ivan's truck for years with it.

I would be cool with that too, I did mention a linked rear-end out of the 4Runner would be good too. If you're going to do that the front should be SA (but coil sprung). Because the way it is now, feel with a coil IRS front and leaf sprung rear feels a bit mismatched.

When I was in AZ, was into the desert prerunning thing...now in Idaho...SFA might be better for the back country mountain roads. Though those Side X Sides with independent suspension make quick work of back roads and trails here. Those things are like trail couches.

That 70 series body that Proffitts tossed on a 80 series...would be awfully nice to have. That is what the Tacoma should be...

Make mine in blue with a tray camper...I'll bring my checkbook... :D

Depends on use. Live axles are easier to 'wheel, independent suspension makes corrugation and pavement more tolerable. I've seen the IFS/SRA combo as the mullet of suspension. All business in the front, all party in the back. I wasn't ever hard core with my '91 but the way the body rolls on independent suspension can make technical stuff harder than it needs to be.

I do an awful lot of wash board roads, an awful lot.... I was traveling down some old ranch roads in my step-father's Highlander is was got me thinking of it. Thing rode so much better than my modded Tacoma. I am not into wheeling anything super hard...would like for it to ride better though. Did look at the Ridgeline, but it is pretty spindly under there...I would rip it up in no time.

Quite a few guys doing IFS/Linked rear for King of the Hammers...doesn't get much more technical than that.

UTV's do pretty well...whether it is high speed or technical.
