Super slow 2019 Ranger build

So I’m starting this just to keep track as I go. Right now other than getting some Weathertechs and seat covers on order and eventually a Diamondback cover I can’t think of anything I want to change.

So for now here’s some backyard poser pictures

So far the only thing I have put on it is miles but I love it. It drives great, is super comfortable, and gets decent gas mileage. The biggest problem is that the wife loves it and it disappears sometimes.

I’m not real sure how I feel about all of the automatic features. Most of them I can turn off and leave off like lane keeping assist. It was cool to play with at first but it does fight you a little on un-signaled lane changes. The auto high beams cycle on and off to much but the wife likes them. The auto start stop works pretty well you notice it but it’s not bad.

The sync system is awesome but I’ve always had base models so I’m easily impressed. The seats are great Way better than the Ram or the wife’s 4Runner. It has plenty of passing power. I haven’t hauled anything yet other than some small trips to Lowe’s but those were fine.

Provided you don’t need a full size for the bed space I’d recommend checking one out if you’re in the market

I lust after the Icon kit but it’s well out of my price range for now. My next big purchase is going to be a Diamondback HD but my near term plans are protecting the interior from the kids and dogs.

I had no idea it had the auto high/low beams, the first time I drove and night I was so confused and didn't know what the heck was going on! I turned it off. I also got a stop/start delete module.

Added a Carhartt dog seat cover and the tool roll was just to get free shipping but it fits nicely.

Looking good. I looked at one in person for the first time yesterday. Very nice trucks but, the back seat is too small to suit our family.

Gladiator seemed to have more room back there but, it was 10 - 15k more.

I put a 5,6 and a 15 year old in the back for shorter trips (2ish hours)and they are fine. There is a deceptive amount of room because the back seats are higher that the front. I haven’t looked at the Gladiator but my oldest says it’s better than my Mom’s 18 Tacoma.

I wouldn’t try and take the whole family across country or anything but we have a 4Runner for that.

Since I was last here I’ve added a Redarc Tow Pro brake controller and a Lightforce switch panel. I’m pretty happy with the clean look of the instal and performance of the brake controller. The truck now pulls and stops my 7x16 trailer with no issues or drama.

Any idea on the weight of the trailer? Is it a holiday trailer or a utility trailer?

Decided against the Diamondback cover between the price and not having the ability to put the dogs in the back it just wouldn't work for me. Today I ordered Softopper while i can't lock it it will keep my crap out of sight.

I installed the Softopper tonight and so far I’m happy with it.
