Sun Lite Eagle RK in a 6'-6" Bed?

Hey, first post here... I found a very nice condition Sun Lite Eagle RK for sale, and I'm wondering about using it in a 6'-6" bed on my Chevy 2500HD. It is not the shortbed model, but it seems light enough that it would be okay with the tailgate down. Has anyone used an 8' lightweight pop-up in a standard bed? We've spent a lot of time in a Fleetwood Utah when my kids were smaller, but I'm thinking about a truck camper now. Thanks!

Not quite the same, but comparable, yah?

Back on the day, we had a 10’ pop up sitting on a Reg cab, long bed k2500, drove all over the US, ever had any insecurities about COG or problems with the ride of the truck. Keep your heavies...water tank, batter, prop... up in front of the rear axle.

8’ camper on 6 3/4’ bed
vs.
10’ camper on 8’ bed?

same, same...

With your heavily sprung Chevy 2500 HD SB (which is what we now have), I don’t think it’s going to be an issue. More to the point, if we keep our truck (thinking about selling it), that’s exactly what we would do...put a 8’ pop up camper on it.
