I went ahead and ordered the stock Mitsubishi shocks from parts.com, making sure to select "adjustable rate" version and included my VIN. Parts arrived with official Mitsubishi tags and stickers and were indeed the OEM "adjustable" replacements. With shipping, my bill was around $275.00 and I retain the ability to change the settings on the console.

Ok so does anyone know if the ecs shocks are the same for the 95 sr as the 98 or 99s because i noticed some of the OEM parts sites say in the part descriptions (95-00) however if I just search for 95 sr models the price is $$$ (and some sites list the actuator as a sep part) so it seems you could just order the shock and not the control???

Forgot about that site. I have a huge parts list for major 100k servicing on the 00. Looking at parts.com vs. mitsubishiparts.net, parts.com is about 10% less than mitsubishiparts.net. Looks like I'm going to have to reprice my list... -Thanks for post!

FYI, confirm with one mitsu parts guy locally, waiting to hear from one more but it looks like the 3 way adjustable shocks listed 98-00 in any of the OEM suppliers are the same shocks listed for my 95 but they sell the 98-00 versions with the shock and actuator sep parts so once I get my second confirm for the other OEM parts site I should be able to order the OEM adjustable shocks without the actuator (Extra $100) since mine work and only the shock its self is blown. So like $70 ish $290 of all 4 :)

Styyy, let us all know how that works out. Having a 96, that would be a very attractive option if its possible.

just checked the 96SR shock set and I'm looking at over $800 for a set of 4 from parts.com

Ok they contacted me via email and said the correct shocks would have to be ordered and would be $255 each! He said the ones I had ordered wouldnt fit and it was a no return policy if I ordered them and they didnt fit. So I cancelled the order and ordered a se of bilsteins for $280 shipped!!

Dragging this up from the dead. I'm thinking to go ahead and order these for my 2.5

Anyone else verify this is the real deal or can Jugganaut let us know how this turned out.

I must say I'm confused because this post suggests it's all legit but later on a few guys (with gen 2, I realized) bailed.

If it makes you feel any better I have measured both the adjustable and standard shocks and they are identical in length and mounting, you simply lose the adjustment of your stock setup if you go with the standard KYB shocks.
