Sourcing Windows For Aluminum Camper Shells

I'm interested in picking up a Lifetime aluminum camper shell. It's a basic piece, but nice and light, which is what I want until I can afford a high-top option.

In the meantime, I'd like to somehow make the 42x12 front window into a fold up option. I called the manufacturer of both the camper (Lifetime) and the window manufacturer (State-Wide) and neither has a drop in folding option. Just sliders.

From what I can tell, the plate glass 42x12 window is mounted from the outside, and fastened to the canopies frame via screws. I'm wondering if it would be possible to flip it, with the seal on the inside, and screw on some hinges and a simple latch.

Has anyone every modified an aluminum camper shell that comment on the construction and installation of these windows?
