For Sale
2005 Ford F-450 Lariat Access Cab w/9’ Pacific service body

2005 8' StarCraft Pine Mountain Lonestar Pop-Top Camper.

I purchased the truck in July 2015 with just 33,000 miles, the truck was originally built in Mendocino County, CA for Search & Rescue, as well as Baja race support. The truck and camper were originally special ordered as a Lariat cab & chassis. The Pacific service body and camper were also purchased new in 2005 specifically for this build.

Since I have owned the truck, I have focused on dialing in all of the mechanical, onboard systems, and adding many off-grid/overlanding accessories. The goal was to never need shore power or any other service/facilities while camping or roaming, but have the ability to “plug-in” if we chose to. Truck has shore power connections as well.

As stated above, the truck is a 2005 Ford F-450 with the 6.8L V10 gas engine. The truck has been serviced regularly at my friend’s local, very reputable auto repair and off-road shop - synthetic oil changes annually due to low mileage usage per year so far. It is not a brand new truck, and does have some small scratches and chips on the service body paint and some surface rust in the storage cabinets. The truck cab condition is excellent. The truck runs perfectly and needs nothing but gas in the tank, to go on your next adventure. The camper had a very minor top roof water leak from a poorly sealed satellite dish install. Dish was immediately removed and all was sealed. The only damage was some warping of the ceiling material. Had been covered by a nice full ceiling map tapestry, over the bed area; looks better than it ever did.

Regarding the roof leak from 2 bolt holes of a satellite dish install, the minor leak occurred in 2016. It was thoroughly sealed with self-leveling sealant immediately after the rain storm. No further leaking has occured, checking constantly thoughout the Winter months for 2 years , and the tapestry was added to put the concern to rest last Spring.

Oh, man, I have always loved this rig.

Is that storage cabinet at the right-rear setup in such a way that one could slide a porta-potti in/out for use near the door? We don't want a full bath or blackwater tank in our rig, but a porta-potti is non-negotiable.

I was surprised to hear it rings in so heavy. I guess that's partly the truck and partly all the kit. I wonder what she'd weigh without roof A/C, gen-set, and fuel transfer... hmmmm.

Thank you

The cabinets inside, near the door are fairly narrow. Previous owner had a cassette toilet in the bulkhead cabinet. It fit perfectly.

Weight comes from heavy truck to start, steel quality service body, and added accessories. Weight could easily be reduced. Rig was weighed with aux fuel cans on-board, tools, recovery gear, camp gear, etc.
