**Sale pending 11/20/2020**

A blast from the past! This is a very well cared for, two owner Born Free camper. If you are unfamiliar with Born Free let me give you some highlights:

- All fiberglass construction
- Tubular steel roll cage throughout the coach
- Flexsteel furniture

Equipped with a 460 Ford engine. Recent maintenance includes:

-New spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor
- New brass radiator
- New thermostat along with coolant hoses
- Rebuilt carburetor
- Fresh oil change

All of the appliances work properly. The fridge can be operated on 110V or propane. There is a rooftop air conditioner/heater, propane furnace and a propane water heater. No generator. Current mileage is at 68k. I just returned from a 500 mile trip and it performed flawlessly. Six new tires are being installed this week. I would like to sell this before the snow begins as I don't have proper indoor storage this year. Feel free to give me a call or text at (517) Two One 4 - Six 6 Eight 8.

Location: Beulah, MI 49617

Haha! This is awesome.

How many does it sleep? Does the couch or chair in the rear have seatbelts?

@shellb It sleeps four. The front bed sleeps two and the rear bench makes into bunk beds. The couch/bed does have seat belts as does the orange chair. The orange chair also swivels so it can face forward for a car seat.

so rad. want so badly.

Also wish I had an older van for 460/ C6 combo. Bulletproof and more torque than you could possibly ever need!!

This needs to be kept indoors at the museum. There is not another in this fine original condition any where in the country, I am sure of it !
We had similar to this in the late 70's and the 460/C6 is without fail, the best drivetrain we ever had and it NEVER let up on any of our trips,
from mountain elevations & snows to desert heat of 125 degrees. Never an interior water leak either. Love all the glass & the interior colors...
Oh how I wish we had a large climate controlled building any more, we would take this home tomorrow ! (only if we got the LavaLamp with it)

@HoBoCruiser Thank you for the kind words. It truly is in exceptional condition. 6 new tires are being installed on Monday morning and then it will be ready for its next adventure.

You should seriously consider tossing it on Bring A Trailer (Google if you're not familiar). There is a buyer out there for you; they just don't know it.

Toss some pics of the engine bay. I bet it is as flawless. Gorgeous ride, and that "floor-to-ceiling" window is groovy!

@TwistedGray Let me start by saying I LOVE Bring a Trailer. I have sold six vehicles on there with the most recent one being sold last week. I have contemplated submitting the Born Free but right now the turn around time from submission to live auction is about 6-8 weeks! In eight weeks there will be a few feet of snow on the ground here so I'm trying to sell this beforehand. If anyone here is interested, even slightly, please contact me. You never know, I might just say yes to your offer!
