Solar on Type I ambulance: where did you hook into?

I’ve got a 99 F350 type I ambulance which has a main starter battery and an auxiliary battery in the engine bay that powers the box. Currently, everything runs into the Vanner inverter/charger. I’m adding 300 watts of panels and a charge controller to a bank of 3 100 ah deep cycle and batteries but I’m not sure where to tie them in.

Any suggestions. My hope is to run a RV fridge and ac air conditioner. Ideally I’d like the solar to be able to top off the batts in the engine bay. But, that may be a stretch.

Run your solar to your deep cycle bank. Forget running air conditioner off a small battery bank and solar. for aircon you will need a generator or double the battery bank and quadruple the solar.
