Smittybilt Scout Trailer Reviews?

Hi Guys, I hope not to bore you with all of this pictures coming right up...Part 5. The bolts inside the trailer holding the bumper need washers but as you know never enough time which means lots of more fun left. When Robert install the bumper he used a strong impact driver I would say too much force. But I'll tell you one thing that steel on this trailer is so sick that it is not a problem at all. It's truly built like a tank. Lots more modifications coming and I will keep posting as I get them done. 20211120_165629.jpg20211120_165636.jpg20211120_165646.jpg20211120_165651.jpg20211120_165703.jpg20211120_165708.jpg20211120_170429.jpg20211120_170439.jpg20211120_170445.jpg20211120_170452.jpg

The part that will break is the factory angled bracket. Have them weld a boxed gusset under that corner. The welds are all but ground away there.
Hi KeithWells, thank you for clarifying that for me and I can see whey it would be a weak point. Do you a some pictures of how you did yours? If you don't can you please take some pictures of it so I can see it. Thank You.

Hi Guys, I cannot make my mind up on which tent to buy...my top 2 choices are #1 Thule Tepui Explorer Kukenam 3 Haze Grey with blue top (I love this look, super clean) #2 The 23 ZERO WALKABOUT 62 ROOF TOP-TENT WITH LST MATERIAL. I like that it's black inside on the inside and super dark as I like to sleep in in the morning but the grey and blue looks so good, Help me...151.jpg

There both pretty good tents. I think the 23zero has a bit of a thicker material so it may hold heat better. Also thank you for the photo's of the bumper installed. Did he have to add those metal spacers so the door would open?

Yes, he already had the metal spacer with him on the day of the install so he already has the right height figure out for the install. I had then powder coated. I had everything regarding the bumper powder coated for $160.00 here in Corona, CA I think that is a pretty good price if you look around you can find a good deal on powder coating (I think).

Rob modified mine so it doesn’t need a spacer. The install was very easy, he drilled the holes and I mounted it after I painted it, but drilling the holes was really easy.

Hi Catalanbull, the bumper looks great!!! He did not need the spacer on yours as he welded the bracket higher, the good news is that he keeps learning and making it even better. Let's go camping...

Anyone have any information about the registration process in Washington State? I am not at all familiar with how this trailer will be licensed here. I’ve read through some of the posts about various issues in other states… Thanks!
