These are what I just ordered for my 98 4Runner. I haven't heard of Bolton Premiere before but I figure if they MSRP at $235 and I'm getting them for $78 it can't be that bad, right?

I'm still getting use to the new color since I've had chrome grilles in the past.


Hopefully, the next up will be the brake upgrade, ordered a set of Brembo rotors.

Death of a 4runner

One word 'Damnit'
Four words 'Wear you seatbelt'. I walked away without a stratch. :Wow1:

Short story lost control outside of Little America, Wyoming while reentering the interstate and wound up in the median.


I've already talked to my insurance and an adjuster will be out on Monday.

Noticable damage:

Front passenger side door doesn't open
Broken out glass in front passenger side door
Drivers side front fender crushed and side corner maker hanging out
Both sideview mirrors
Roof crushed in upper a-pillar, wind shield busted in this area.
Roof shows buckling at the b and c pillars
Roof bowed behind sunroof
Interior trim pieces in the cargo area busted from stuff I had back there
Rear hatch doesn't open all the way because of the roof damage
Roof rack busted
Other misc bits broken off
Engine damage unknown - laying on it's side for about 3.4-4 hrs while waiting for a tow truck (about 8 accidents at the same time as mine)



Airbags did not deploy.

Sorry to here about the accident. Good luck with the insurance company. 4runners can be repaired or replaced much easier than people. (note: comes from someone with 5 shoulder rebuilds and a bone graft)

Good luck with the repairs. I was driving through there the day before. That area can get bad in a storm.

Did the same thing comming out of the eisenhower tunnel I70 east bound......saw red tailights and hit the brakes a little too hard. Rolled my 86 pickup. Total loss. No injury. Got a 91 to replace it.

Scary to say the least. Glad your okay.

Thanks guys. I was really lucky especially since my car was loaded with some of my stuff and a bunch of office supplies for the jobsite.

My brother was right behind me in a Uhaul when it happened and it scared the crap out of him. It took about 3 hrs for a tow truck to get there to get the car back on it side due to other accidents.

I'm working with my insurance to get things taken care of. Gotta love having full coverage.
