Show your Jerry Can Modifications or Equivalents?

So I’ve been starting to run low on projects and thinking about new ways to waste my time and money while avoiding the stuff my wife wants done. I realized that a lot of my hard mounting points are designed to accommodate 20L NATO cans. This brings me to ideas of either modifying Jerry cans to store other stuff, or building/buying storage containers specific to that size bracket.

Has anyone done similar?

I’m willing to weld, woodwork, or attempt plastics and fiberglass. It looks like maybe some Pelican or Apache cases might fit?

My immediate idea was to build in a Chinese diesel heater, it would be really trick to use the top for fuel, and build the heater in the bottom, but not sure if that will just end in leaks and fire. I’ll keep you posted!

Modifying jerry cans into cases isn't unheard of at all. There's commercial ones as well as DIY.

I modified an ammo can with a lip on bottom so it would fit in place of a jerry can. Depends on the mounting location as the ammo can was a little fatter than the jerry can.
